Chao is professor of management in the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University.  She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University.  Prior to joining MSU, she was Section Head of the Department of Management at the General Motors Institute.  Her research interests are in the areas of organizational socialization, teams and macrocognition, young adults, and international human resource management.  She was elected to several positions in the American Psychological Association (APA), Academy of Management, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and is currently SIOP’s President.  She currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Applied Psychology, the International Journal of Selection and Assessment, and Human Resource Management Review.  She is a Fellow of APA and SIOP.  Her research has won awards, including the Outstanding Publication in Organizational Behavior award presented by the Academy of Management’s OB Division (1995), the Best Paper Award by the Editorial Board of Organizational Research Methods (2014), and the William A. Owens Scholarly Achievement Award in recognition of the best publication in 2013 by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (2015). In 2017, Professor Chao received SIOP’s Distinguished Service Award. She is currently on detail to the National Science Foundation as a Program Officer for the Science of Organizations grant program, the NSF Research Traineeship program, and for the Future of Work at the Human-Technology Frontier program.

Ståle Valvatne Einarsen is Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Bergen, Norway where he acts as head of the Bergen Bullying Research group. The Bergen Bullying Research Group (BBRG) is a research team of 15 faculty staff, post docs and PhD students devoted to research on workplace bullying and harassment, constructive and destructive forms of leadership, as well as stress and emotions in organizations. Professor Einarsen is one of the pioneers in the field of workplace bullying and has conducted research in the field for more than 25 years looking at all aspects of the problem for genetics and health, via psychosocial and organizational factors and to legal and climatic and societal factors. In 2019 he received the annual innovation award for his work on bullying at work and his prevention and problem management program from the Norwegian Society for Psychological Science. He is the co-editor of the seminal book “Bullying and harassment in the workplace: theory, research and practice” which is published in its third edition in 2020, the first edition being published already in 2003. As of 2011, I am an Associate Professor at the Human Performance Management Group of the Department of Industrial Engineering of Eindhoven University of Technology. The overarching theme of my research and teaching is the sustainable functioning of organizations and their employees, with a specific interest in the management of change and adaptation processes on the individual, team, and organizational level. My key areas of expertise are worker sustainable employability, workplace innovation, intervention research, worker health and well-being, and leadership. In my current research and teaching, I particularly focus on the implementation and adoption of new technologies such as AI and robotics that increasingly impact on many aspects of our work as well as our private lives.

Since 2015, I also hold a formal appointment as Affiliated Researcher at the Department of Psychology of Stockholm University. Moreover, I have a long-standing collaboration with the Unidad de Investigacion de Psicologia de las Organizaciones, del Trabajo y de los Recursos Humanos of the University of Valencia.

From 1995 to 2011, I worked at Utrecht University as a Postdoc Researcher and Assistant Professor, and as Deputy Director of the interuniversity Research Institute for Psychology & Health. During this period, I developed a research line on workplace interventions to prevent stress and burnout complaints and to enhance work engagement and performance.

​I have an MSc in Psychology from Tilburg University, and obtained a PhD from Utrecht University in 1994 with a thesis on leadership in health care.

Riccardo Peccei is Professor of Organisational Behaviour (OB) and Human Resource Management (HRM) at the King’s Business School, King’s College London (UK). Born in Turin, Italy, he received a BA in history from Harvard University and a BPhil and DPhil in Sociology from Oxford University. Before joining King’s in 2000 he taught at the London School of Economics for nearly twenty years and, before that, was a researcher at the Industrial Sociology Unit at Imperial College and a Senior Research Officer at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London. He has been involved in a range of international research projects and has held a number of academic appointments outside of the UK, including a Visiting Chair as Professor of Research in Organisation and Management at Erasmus University and, most recently, a Visiting Research Fellowship in the Department of Human Resource Studies at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

He has published widely in the fields of HRM and OB, including in the Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, Human Resource Management Journal and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology. He is particularly interested in the integration of HRM and OB research and in the multilevel analysis of macro-micro-macro relationships over time using both variable-oriented and person-centered methodologies. Within this broad perspective, his main current research interests are in the relationship between HRM systems, employee well-being and individual and organisational performance, the impact of HRM on workplace inequality, and the relationship over time between emotional labour strategies and employee affective states and outcomes in service contexts.

Prof. Truxillo is a member of ten editorial boards. He served as associate editor for the Journal of Management and is currently an associate editor at Work, Aging and Retirement. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and he has coauthored three textbooks. His research has been supported by the SHRM Foundation, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the National Science Foundation (NSF).

He has served in a number of leadership roles in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) such as Program Chair, Conference Chair, and External Relations Officer. He is the recipient of SIOP’s Distinguished Service (2012) and Teaching (2017) Awards. Prof. Rosalind H. Searle holds the chair in HRM and Organisational Psychology at the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow. She is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and a Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Her research focuses on organisational trust and HRM, trust and controls, change and counterproductive work behaviours. Her work on fitness to practice for Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA) has been identified as one of the six most important studies for regulators comparing misconduct in three professionals. Ismael Quintanilla Pardo es licenciado en Filosofía y doctor en Psicología por la Universidad de Valencia (UV), de la cual es profesor de Psicología Social. Ha sido vicedecano de la Facultad de Psicología, presidente de la Sociedad Valenciana de Psicología Social y director del máster de Gestión de los Servicios Culturales y director de la Unidad de Investigación de Psicología Económica y del Consumidor (UIPEC) de la UV. Ha sido profesor invitado y conferenciante en universidades españolas, europeas e iberoamericanas. Ha dirigido numerosos trabajos de investigación y tesis doctorales. También ha sido investigador principal de proyectos de la UV realizados en colaboración con la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia en el Plan Nacional de I+D «Producción ajustada y participación en el trabajo: repercusiones e influencia sobre la productividad empresarial» y «La influencia de la cultura en los flujos de conocimiento en grupos de I+D». También ha sido el investigador responsable del proyecto «Perfil de emprendedores en Instituciones de Microcréditos del Programa de cooperación interuniversitaria entre España e Iberoamérica» del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, AECID. Es autor de numerosos artículos y una treintena de libros, y puede acreditar cuarenta años de experiencia profesional como asesor, a través de convenios universidad-empresa, en las áreas de recursos humanos, desarrollo profesional, innovación y creatividad, marketing social y comportamiento del consumidor e investigación de mercados. En el ámbito de la divulgación científica ha participado en numerosos programas de radio y televisión en temáticas relacionadas con la conducta social, económica y del consumidor, y es colaborador de RTVE, RNE y la Cadena SER.
